omg you guys
at my current temporary gig, i was given the option of overtime (which 15 hours of basically doubles my weekly earnings [not my take home]). so i’m all “i’m up in this!!! w00t!!!!!!”
but this is the thing — i’m thisclose to throttling one of the women who works with me. she talks over people. she’s inane. she has a comment on everything (to how red i turn when i laugh and whether or not i should actually go for the full allotted overtime). and she’s stupid; or if she’s not stupid she is an attention seeker (either way, i hate that shit).
so like, i have to work a lot now, on stupid shit that a monkey would probably have a better accuracy rate, and it’s driving me to drink and/or violence. OR i can continue doing the same hours as before, and make just enough to carry me by for the time being and hope that the gig never ends. seeing as i’ve gone as long as 8 months without any kind of work there seems to be no choice. but, i should probs put one of my colleagues on retainer in case i do throttle this woman.
i need a real job soon y’alls. my soul is quickly dying.
